Experience of
José Aguilar
Since 2011, Jose Aguilar has been working in the health field, specifically in Sexual Health, Mental Health, Substance Use Disorders, Prevention, and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Infection.
As an immigrant, a cisgender, gay man, and a person living with HIV, he has experienced many of the situations faced by other Latino and local immigrants. He knows firsthand what it means to be a monolingual Spanish speaker in need of social services in the United States. That’s why he founded Aguilar Salud to become a useful resource for anyone in need throughout the United States.
